FR-17 wheels
Fake
pic.
These wheels pictured above have been ordered
and are on their way. Measuring 17x8 on the front and 17x10 on the rear
, and running 235-40 and 275-40 rubber , it should help with the traction.

OK , finally have my turbo here , and
maybe will have it on the car in the next week or so. It is a T76
compressor wheel in an A/R.72 housing , with a Q-Trim turbine ( by the
look of it ) in a 1.22 A/R housing. This should get me the
650 to 700 horsepower I am after ! :-)
That compressor wheel above is 76mm (3")
across , if you need something by which to scale things.
Ignition
The latest development is a problem I
am having with the ignition. At the moment the 6 ignitors on the car used
to fire each of the coils , are drawing too much current and the alternator
cannot keep up. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
Pollished
Engine Parts
I was thinking to
myself that while the engine is stripped I might as well get the rotor
housings pollished up and look a lot cleaner. So then I started to figure
, why not get the timing cover done as well , and why not chrome the water
pump , and hell , why not do the inlet system... stuff it ....
I will do every damn thing in the engine bay that I can pull out.
Anyway , here are
a few pics of some of the parts I had done. You can even see on the
inlet manifold how I had the 3 ROTOR raised section and the raised
turbo badge section removed from the plenum.
Hidden
Wiring
At the same time
as the engine is out , I am slowly hiding all the wiring , and I took this
picture to show you just how much work is involved , so when you see the
final product - a clean engine bay in an RX-7 - you will understand how
hard it is. And this is only a fraction of the wires....
