RX-7 DRIVETRAIN and BRAKES
This section covers all other aspects of the running gear of the car. The diff conversion , the brakes conversion , gearbox and clutch , and the suspension setup. I may also add some more info as I start modifying more parts.

 

Diff Conversion
The rear-end of my car has been converted from the now inadequate standard diff to a Borg Warner Limited-Slip variety from a VL series Holden Commodore with a 3.45:1 geared centre , and custom axles drilled to the standard pattern.

 


In this shot you can see the suspension upgrade. I run Koni adjustable shock all around and Pedders lower and much stiff springs.
 

Front Brakes
The front brakes are a bit over 10" in diameter and much thicker than standard, and come from a Holden Commodore. The brake calipers are from a Volvo and feature 4-pistons each.
